October marks the beginning of candy season. Ramping up through Halloween, sugar is to be found in nearly every aisle, every endcap and every office. How do you encourage healthy eating for your family, particularly children, but still maintain a fun and entertaining atmosphere?

This year, instead of making sugar cookies, we employed spooky cookie cutters to make fun healthy snacks by cutting cheese slices. Bats, witches, pumpkins and owls graced our Toddler Halloween haunt this year. Combine these cheese treats with floating apples and pretzel sticks for a well rounded snack.
