Nugget O’ Hope Soap
Development of soap and soap essential oil blends requires many variations to get it “just right.” These intermediate batches are high quality, safe soaps that can be enjoyed. Soaps of this nature are bagged, tagged and delivered to Lutheran Social Services for distribution in Franklin County.
Clean the World: Soaps for Haiti
On January 12, Haiti was hit by an earthquake registering 7.0 on the Richter Scale. The epicenter was situated in an extremely population dense area, causing widespread injury, loss of life and limb. As medical response teams scrambled, members of the Handcrafted Soapmaker’s Guild partnered with Clean the World to donate soaps. Celtic Naturals had recently donated much of their inventory, so sponsored a soap donation drive. Nearly 80 pounds of soaps and shampoos were shipped to Clean the World.

In November, a gathering of 5 volunteers came together to creatively wrap 26 pounds of soap to be donated to a local Men’s Shelter. The soap were given as Christmas presents to the men. Some were happy for a present for themselves, but many also chose to use these special items as gifts for others. We were glad to be able to share this special spirit with them.
